I believe it is important to have our expectations before us at all times. It is not that we will be fickle and tolerate less than what we deserve or desire. It is as if we are arranging the priorities in our relationships and the deal breakers are evidence of a covenant. They should be reviewed regularly and with mercy yet inflexibility, if that is what is really important to us. There is nothing worse than being in a place and not receiving what you know you deserve. I encourage you to list yours. After brief meditation, here are my top 3.
1. Communication, Secrecy (as evidenced by resistance or lack of inclusion and inconsideration)
2. Name calling, disrespect
3. Lack of recognition (as evidenced by minimizing talents and strengths, beauty, importance, purpose in life)
* You see I cant even say infidelity, cause I have survived that sin. I don’t desire to travel that road again though.
As i sit here and listen to this great song about Freedom, on the weekend of Martin Luther King Jr's birthday, i am reminded that it is imperative that i maintain my personal freedom. Any situations that do not permit and encourage my independence and/or allow me to be me will not be tolerated. That's all.
